The Ten Commendments (less one)

This beautiful set of hand painted magic lantern slides was produced by the American C.W. Briggs in 1896. The pictures were drawn by Joseph Boggs Beale, an excellent American artist. C.W. Briggs was the leading producer of lantern slides in Usa and J. B. Beale drew more than two thousand pictures for Briggs in thirty-nine years (from 1881 to 1920).

Beale's pictures were screen versions of Biblical and popular narrative stories (such as Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Ben Hur, etc.), religious hyms and Masonic and Temperance stories.

Unfortunately, in this set, slide no. 2 is missing.
